Online Tutoring Prices

We provide personalised one-on-one online tutoring for Year 2-12 students across Maths, English and Science. Here's what we can support your child with:​

• ✍️ English: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, writing structure, creative writing, essay writing, assignment support and exam preparation.

• 📐 Maths: Curriculum content, problem-solving, homework help, assignment support, exam preparation, NAPLAN and senior QCE Maths subjects including Essential Maths, General Maths, Maths Methods and Specialist Maths.

• 🧬 Science: Curriculum content, problem-solving, homework help, assignment support, exam preparation and senior QCE subjects including Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

We also offer NAPLAN tutoring for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 across both Maths and English. Our tutors can also provide general subject support for students preparing for selective school entrance exams and ICAS assessments across Maths, English and Science.

At Cloud Tuition, our online tutoring lessons cost $70/hour for Year 2-9 students and $80/hour for Year 10-12 students with no hidden fees, no enrolment costs and no lock-in contracts. Your child's first lesson is completely free so you can experience the quality of our tutoring before booking in more sessions.

Yes, definitely! Our pay-as-you-go model means there is no lock-in contract and no minimum commitment. You can book lessons as needed whenever your child needs extra support or needs specific assessment help. However, most families set up a recurring weekly timeslot for consistent ongoing help. We do recommend this option as regular weekly sessions works best for building momentum, keeping up with the school curriculum and it also keeps your preferred timeslot booked in with your tutor.

Absolutely. Your child can have separate lessons for each subject to get structured, dedicated support for content and assessment which we recommend for maximising their focus, rather than trying to cover everything in one session. You can add or change subjects at any time by contacting our team.

While we recommend keeping each lesson dedicated to one subject so your child gets the most out of their time with their tutor, you can of course mix subjects in the same lesson if you'd like the focus to be split during your sessions. For example, if your child needs both English and Maths tutoring, your 60-minute sessions can be split with 30 minutes for each subject.

When things begin to ramp up at school during assessment period, you can definitely request and add extra sessions at any time by contacting our team. We'll arrange additional lessons around your child's existing schedule and your tutor's availability. Many families book extra sessions leading up to NAPLAN, mid-year exams or final QCE assessments.

Yes, of course! We offer sessions from 45 minutes up to 2 hours depending on what works best for your child. You can adjust your child's session length at any time to suit your schedule, amount of support needed and learning goals. We simply ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice if you have sessions already booked so we can notify your child's tutor.

As part of our online tutor recruitment process, we thoroughly vet every tutor on our team for their teaching ability, communication skills and academic qualifications before they work with any student. Most of our tutors are high ATAR achievers with an average score of 97.10, currently hold a current teaching qualification or are subject matter experts with prior tutoring experience. We also ensure all tutors hold a valid Working With Children Check before commencing any tutoring with a student.

Your child's tutoring lessons take place on our interactive online learning platform where they meet their tutor face-to-face via live video and audio. Lessons are delivered in real-time and our tutors use a collaborative whiteboard, document writing tab and prepared lesson materials to help support your child's learning. We also have a range of tools to keep sessions engaging and productive including an in-lesson chat, graphing tools and screen-share which is especially helpful if your child has an assignment that they'd like to work on.

We offer two flexible payment options to suit your preference. You can pay upfront to add credit to your account, or we send a weekly invoice to your email. Payments are due 48 hours before each lesson to reserve your child's timeslot with their tutor and can be made via direct debit, credit card through our online invoice or bank transfer. You'll also receive a payment confirmation email for every payment made so you can easily keep track of your child's lesson fees.

You can cancel or pause your child's tuition at any time for free. We understand that life gets busy and schedules change, so simply contact our team and we will help you make the arrangements. We only ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice if your child has sessions booked so we can notify their tutor.
